FAQs
Do I need to be home to sign for my delivery?
Not at all! We will deliver as close to your house as we can.
Do you offer Crane or HIAB delivery?
Unfortunately, we don’t have Crane or HIAB services available at this time.
Can you deliver to my area?
We deliver all across mainland UK and Skye.
Can I pay cash on delivery?
We only accept credit card or PayPal payments at the time of your order.
Can I choose a delivery time?
While we can’t guarantee a specific time (our logs are delivered by a third party), you can select a delivery date at checkout—just not for Highland deliveries.
How are the logs delivered?
Our delivery team uses a tail lift and pallet truck to get your firewood to you safely.
I have a gravel drive; will that be a problem?
Yes, unfortunately. Our delivery trucks use manual pallet trolleys with small wheels that struggle on gravel.
I don’t have a driveway, pavement or curbside; can I still order?
Sorry, but that won't be possible.
I live on a dirt track; can I still get a delivery?
If a bin lorry or oil truck can make it down your road, we should be good to go! Give us a call to discuss the details.
Can my neighbor sign for the logs?
Absolutely! You don’t have to be home for the delivery.
Can you deliver to the Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, or Outer Hebrides?
We can deliver to Skye for free, but for other islands, we can arrange delivery at an additional cost.
How long are your logs?
Our firewood logs come in 3 sizes: You can select 8″, 10″ and giant 14".
What’s the moisture content of my logs?
We only supply Ready to Burn logs with a moisture content of less than 20%.
What’s the best way to store my logs?
Ideally, keep them in a purpose-built covered log store with good airflow.
Can I just throw a tarpaulin over them?
That works short-term, but it’s not a long-term solution.
Will logs dry in my garage?
No, they need to get plenty of air circulation.
How long does it take for semi-seasoned Larch logs to dry?
It varies based on the season and storage conditions, but generally, it takes about 8-12 weeks.
Is Larch a hardwood?
No, Larch is a softwood, but it’s one of the best! It dries quickly and burns hotter, making it ideal for wood burners.
How many logs are in a 2.0m³ net?
We can’t specify a number due to natural timber variation, but we measure it as “2 cubic metres (loose).”
I heard only hardwood should be burned in wood burners. Why sell Larch?
Larch is a fantastic softwood! It dries well, burns hotter, and helps reduce soot and creosote buildup.
What are you doing to minimize your carbon footprint?
We use a mix of “Point to Point” and “hub & spoke” pallet delivery companies to keep our carbon footprint low. By shipping multiple pallets to central hubs, we ensure efficient distribution to regional depots.
